REIKI METHODOLOGY

Kundalini Reiki

The teachings behind Kundalini reiki are very simple. Kundalini, a character from Hindu mythology, is referred to as the dormant energy (the Kundalini energy is also referred sometimes as the Kundalini Fire) that lies in every person. Kundalini can be imagined and depicted as a coiled serpent goddess, who is lying asleep around the main chakra. In Kundalini reiki the unleashing of the dormant strong Kundalini energy in order to heal one's self is what is all about. Once this is obtained, people get into a state of peacefulness, calmness and relaxation. In this type of Reiki a very simple process is followed that only requires meditation and visualization from your part to release the healing energy (kundalini energy) that is already inside you.

Shamanic Reiki

This is a special type of Reiki in which traditional reiki concepts are somehow infused with shamanic concepts. Traditionally, shamanism means the spiritually centered lifestyle of the “Shaman.” The term Shaman refers to the person in a tribe who is spiritual leader. Shamans are also the keepers of their community ceremonies and traditions. Humans thrive on symbolism, rituals, patterns and reiki has many symbols, rituals, and a pattern for self-healing purposes. Here is perhaps where shamanism and Reiki come together to create a special system for self-transformation, a system for living. In shamanism as well as in Reiki, everything is viewed as connected, from the biological body to the spiritual body. Any imbalance in any area can be “corrected” by specially designed and teachable shamanic reiki attunements (symbols, rituals, ceremonies) that will be “passed on” during shamanic reiki training.

Saku Reiki

In addition to traditional reiki principles and training, Saku reiki practitioners utilize a comprehensive approach to self healing that includes some natural therapies, nutrition concepts and practices, physical exercises, crystal and vibrational healing, etc. Saku Reiki originated and is the result of knowledge accumulated from a special clinic that focused on treating patients that did not responded to traditional western medical practice. Saku Reiki is a combination of traditional Usui Reiki with other alternative self-healing methods. Saku reiki training includes three levels as well as in traditional reiki training. However, in level I, the Saku Reiki program includes, in addition to the Reiki I program, healing the body through nutrition and other physical means.

Many types of reiki exist. Although the methodology may be different from one type to another one thing remain constant and that is the concept of Universal Energy. This is the essence of reiki no matter which type you choose to follow.
